Chapter IX: The Seventh Week
(Day 43- Day 49)

(Day Forty Six)It was Chloe today who was better on the leash. She followed me around the yard pretty well. Canon didn't do as good a job. Still pulled back a lot except when I walked toward the door back into the house. These puppies love the a/c.
Nothing much to report. I'm waiting for Jamal to get home so we can take the puppies on a ride. I've cleaned out our puppy crate so I guess we'll start the crate training today or tomorrow. These puppies have mouths and do NOT like to be confined. It took them awhile to get used to the ex-pen that's in our living room. They did not understand WHY they had to stay in it and weren't allowed to roam and play with their mom and brother. They cannot stand to see us and not be near. I can just IMAGINE how they are going to like a crate.
(Update: I decided to put an open crate in their pen for the next day or two. They seemed to like it. Both crawled in and fell asleep.)
