Chapter IX: The Seventh Week
(Day 43- Day 49)

(Day Forty Five)Chorus has a new name! From now on, she will be Chloe and will be living with Matt and Teresa Horn. I am very excited about this placement as I have known the Horns for a long time and I will get to see her a lot! Chloe will be living with her 5.5 year old mastiff brother Quinn, who was adopted from MCOA rescue at 8 weeks old.
Also, Canon will be living with Diane Parrotta in Ft. Worth and will have 3 non-mastiff sisters. Diane is a definite dog lover and I am sure Canon will be spoiled rotten. This will be the first mastiff for Diane.
[ Diane -- a friendly warning for you -- mastiffs are like potato chips :-) ]
I am so happy to have found two such wonderful homes for my babies. That's the most stressful part of breeding and I feel very fortunate to have found two perfect homes!
In other news, the puppies got introduced to the leash and collar today and there was a whole lot of scratching going on. I had hoped they would pull on each other leashes but instead, they basically carried their own. The first session we did, I just pulled every now and then on the leash and gave them a treat. The second session, I tried to take a step or two but doesn't seem like they are ready for that yet. Canon is a touch better at it than his sister but not by much. We'll keep trying !
Sade did her first feeding in awhile now and she thinks they are going to be picky eaters (wonder where they got that from!)
