Big day for the puppies
today! Two weeks old and growing like weeds. Carol told me
that Carlisle is as long as the bin she's keeping him in lengthwise.
When I was there a few days ago, one of the bins had 3 puppies in it
and
Carol said they don't fit in it anymore!
Carlisle is still the biggest puppy but and Renesmee still bring up the rear but she's gained 4oz in the last 2 days so it looks like we are over the hump with her. Sasha got her stitches out today, the pups got a nail trim (which they didn't like!) and they are starting to walk around now a bit now. I can't wait til they stop looking like little Yodas and start looking like mastiffs. It's been a long time since I have looked at kibble for puppies so I spent my day researching the best foods to grow mastiff pups. Between buyouts and recalls, it feels way more difficult than just feeding raw!!!! I've also started putting together the puppy packets which I am really enjoying. I hear Grandma Carol was talking behind my back about my 300 page binder. Ha ha. (No worries, Grandma -- I'm cutting it down AND I am printing double sided so it doesn't look as thick!!!!)...I'm a little miffed that they discontinued "The Ultimate Puppy Toolkit." That was great to give to new puppy buyers. I made copies of some of the booklets for the binder but it's just not the same! Being the stud owner is definitely a different experience, I want to help as much as I can so I am glad that Carol has given me some jobs to do from home. It keeps me busy in between visits and right now, keeping me from dying of bordeom since I'm suppose to be on bed rest. Oh, and I guess it keeps me occupied so that I don't call Carol every couple of hours asking for updates. As some of you know, I'm a little high strung ( just a teeny bit. hee hee) I'll be there in two days though and I am super excited. Guide to the Puppies:
