Odin x Cider Puppies

Chapter VII: The Fifth Week
(Day 29- Day 35)

August 12, 2008
(Day Thirty One)

I'm finally on the mend. The puppies are doing great and have been developing so fast over the past few days. Chorus finally figured out how to jump over the whelping box edge followed closely by Canon. So, their accomodations changed once again.

Canon has really started to show his personality and more and more, I see his brother Coda in him. He is confident, independent, nothing bothers him. He just seems to go with the flow. Chorus is just the biggest snuggler. She will seek you out to crawl into your lap. Canon is more confident but she surprises me too....A couple of nights ago, I had the big dogs upstairs and so I opened the door to the whelping room and Chorus followed me from the rubber matting, out the door into the carpet, and into the tile in the laundry room and right in front of the washer and dryer which was turned on and spinning loudly. I was really proud of her.

I also received Chorus' fluffy test back this morning and she is definitely a long-haired mastiff. We had been discussing it since the day she was born -- Bridgette ACTUALLY called it the minute she touched her for the first time. She had said that the texture was different. So, 100 points for Bridgette :-)

We started the sound socialization cds a couple of days ago and they don't seem to care at all. I think they've heard two of the cds about 10 times already and we are just increasing the volume everytime we replay it. So far, it does not seem like they notice it although I am sure they hear. Overall, things are going well. Cider is doing great and actually eating, Coda is loving his sibs, and Murphy is liking the extra treats that are going around.
