Ever After Boys

Day 49
(December  28, 2010)

No pictures today. It has not been the greatest of days.  Renesmee has been growing by leaps and bounds for the last few weeks.  But, because she was the runt, we wanted to make sure she had a full workup before she left next week.  We found out that she was born with a birth defect. She will undergo surgery as soon as the other vet in the the practice is back (she's stuck in NYC in the blizzard).  The vet has told us this just happens some times and if she survives the surgery, she should grow and live a normal life, but it is an evasive surgery.

Renesmee is the biggest love in the litter and she a fighter.  She would have been dead by now if it was not for Carol's hand rearing.  But instead, she's an active little pup who can outrun her bigger siblings and she's at this point, only 4lbs ligther than her next closest sized sibling. Big change from her being only 2.5lbs at 3 weeks or so.  She is one of the puppies in this litter that just stood out to me as just being an all around awesome dog.  Everyone that meets her falls in love with her and Carol was telling me how she was strutting around the vet clinic giving everyone kisses and wanting to be held.

Please keep her and Carol in your prayers this week.

ps- the other puppies are doing awesome.
