No picture VERY short update..I
had to write because Carol told me something completely unbelievable
today. Sasha was cleaning up puppy poop! She said she is
still wanting to nurse and just today, starting to clean up the
whelping box. A mastiff mom cleaning up poop ... she's gotta be
mom of the year!
Puppies are on two gruel meals a day and still nursing on mom though
little Renesmee has a couple additional meals. Carol says she
completely refuses to nurse now but takes her gruel happily.
She's a fighter, that one! Everyone is doing good..Carol did say
though that she thinks Esme is taller than Jackson now. Tanya,
Eric and Carol were all in consensus yesterday that she looks the most
like Coda so wonder if that means she'll be a big girl?
One of the puppy buyers asked me if the pups have been around vaccuums
and the answer is yes, yesterday, Carol cleaned up for us visiting and
the pups didn't react. It's funny...we had the sound
socialization cd's on yesterday and they really didn't notice it. The
thing that really got them going is that we would tap with all our
fingers on the side of the whelping box and they would all come running
and barking. So cute!
I also figured out what that styrofoam surface was that we were using
yesterday to socialize the pups to textures (more specifically,
surfaces that make sounds when they walk) and that was
vents that go on the inside of a house roof, in
between the rafters to create an airspace. I learn something new every
day :-)
