No pictures today (I put this
upfront so there are no surprises). I promise that I'll take
a lot of pictures when I go on Saturday. Nothing much to report
today other than Carol has started playing the tapes louder and no
reactions. She said it's been raining and thundering in her bedroom all
day long :-) All the puppies are doing well on gruel. Apparently,
Jackson is the neat freak of the group and so prim and proper that
Carol barely has to wipe him off after he eats. Alice and
Renesmee on the other hand like to swim in the gruel. Oh, and
they ARE starting to bark now!
Not much to report on the pups though I did want to share something
that makes me choke up everything I think about it. One of the
puppy buyer had told me when Coda was a puppy that she wanted a baby
from him. This was way before Coda had any testing or had I
given any thought to breeding him. She was telling me how her
husband used to bring pics of Coda to work saying that this was his new
puppy's daddy. I cannot believe that years later, it actually
happened. The part that makes me tear up though is that they lost
their mastiff girl Faith at 13 years old less than a week before this
litter was born. The name they chose for him is "Imagine a Leap of
Faith"... Not only it was it a tribute to their girl, but a
reminder of how they both knew that one day they would actually get a
Coda son. I mean, even I didn't think it would happen ! And
it's interesting because they had picked out the name "Liam" awhile
back and Liam Neeson is actually in the movie "Leap of
Faith." How cool is that? I don't think I have ever heard a
more perfect name for a baby!
