Chapter VIII: The Sixth Week
(Day 36 - Day 42)February 17, 2007
(Day Thirty Six)Cider has decided that Sparke is her favorite and she looks for her. I think it's because Sparkle is a "rough" player. She leaps on Cider's face, chomps down and is "fun." The two brindles just suck on Cider's face so I guess they are not as interesting right now :-P
I made a mistake and put the fan over the litterbox last night. I think they loved the cool spot in the room and decided it was the best place to sleep. Yuck. All this morning they kept moving and trying to sleep in it so I decided to take it out for now. Since the litterbox was empy I thought it would be of use as a voluntary introduction to water. I filled it with an inch or two of water and put some of their toys in it. Only the brindles attempted to walk in and they decided promptly that they didn't like it :-P
The other thing that we did that isn't working is that I put an open crate in their whelping box. They decided that now, that's the potty place. I'm leaving it in the box with the door closed and the pups are taking turns today having a meal in it.
