Murphy was our first foster dog and never left. He ended up in the shelter because animal control took him away from the family for animal abuse. He legs had welts like he was beaten and he was skin and bones, yet when I met him at the shelter, he gave me his paw. My friend who had come with me to pick him up said she knew at that moment he would never leave. I resisted for 6 days and finally called the rescue coordinator and said he had to stay here. He was scared of everything but learned quickly to love people and was a normal dog in no time. I do not think I will ever have a dog as sweet as him. Murphy never did anything wrong and seemed to always know what you wanted before you even asked him. We miss him so much :-(
